Doing reckless things is very easy. All it takes is a reason good enough. From then, the person doing it will simply push aside all reasoning, all understanding, all logical thinking, simply to get the task done. The method is simple: Do first, regret later.
I admit to having done reckless things. I mean, everyone has. Its a spur of moment, a flash of thought, a released craving. We can't help it. Its our instinct. When we want something, truly want something, we will go to any means to get it. Sometimes, we even break our own morals.
Animal instinct. Its amazingly linked to recklessness. Any creature capable of thought, on any scale, has one simple rule on which others are based upon: do anything to survive. Bacteria, they will throw out DNA thats not needed when forced to compete to survive. It just happens.
Maybe animal instinct is what drives us to ignore others, to make ourselves happier, to ensure we dont get hurt again. But thats not how the world works, is it? We have to make sacrifices, sacrifices for others, to ensure their happiness. From there, we can get a different sense of happiness. A different kind, but a better one nonetheless.
"Think about it."
