Random/Reflections/Revelations
techno genius are me! @ Wednesday, May 30, 2007
after coming home from the movie, I find my house now invaded by some guy from singtel, installing the new wi-fi. Of course, he leaves without doing anything largely useful, leaving me to straggle and make everything work.

My parents, as usual, aren't really technologically savvy (did I just say savvy? too much pirates), and I do it. me. alone. my lonesome self.

And so, gideon manages to fix up the internet on the com, the wireless on both his parents laptop, and the phone. Yay me.

now, onto the commenting on the movie. Watching pirates for the third time kinda dampens it a little. just a little. Watching it with abby and mo however, brings a whole new element to the mix. They start scratching each other. like cats. its scary. Never again, never again. I am traumatised. They need safety warning labels.

of course, there was also the experience of the guy in the lift. Scene happens like this:
1. ariel, abby, chet, mo and I are in lift. Mo goes insane and presses all the buttons in the lift.
2. guys walks into lift. Looks beng-ish
3. guy stares at lit-up buttons
4. guy turns around, opens mouth (at this point I think he's either going to sound really low pitch, or sound very pia-kia-ish)
5. he speaks in a really REALLY REALLY high pitch voice. I look down, stifling my laughter as best I can.
6. he continues lecturing us. To gain a mental image of how he sounds like, imagine a guy who got kicked in the groin, who's on helium. imagine.
7. "you think this is funny issit? I go call security. You know theres a CCTV camera" *all look up, see nothing, stifle laughter"
8. guys goes out of lift, chet goes "bye" in that same high pitch tone
9. guy looks back, door closes, all of us laugh our heads off.

Yep, mo, as promised.

Mobile detox @ Monday, May 28, 2007

FUEL was funny, and fun (heh heh heh, benn scared the new guy)
macs was really good, cause there were alot of people. BUT! No one played my game seriously :(

sunday was good too
went for the pl service
heh heh, was sitting at the bus-stop with joelle and abby waiting for the bus, my mum drives by and notices us, then decides to send us down. nice mum (:
the pl movie was nice too, touching story.
oh yes, the auuuuuuuuditions. Which I went for. Which was so messed up. Ah well, its a good thing, cause if I get in, it'll only be by the grace of God (:

well, my internet's going to be down because there's some repair work that needs to be done around the house
plus, my mum killed me over my $234 phone bill (second highest so far), so I'm now on mobile detox.

know what that means? I'm going to be cut off from the outside world. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
ah well.

poem!

Cups
a cup of hope
a cup of peace
a cup of knowledge
that brings such release

a cup of joy
a cup of pain
a cup of coffee
just to keep sane

a cup of right
a cup of wrong
a cup of free will
that, to our hearts, belong

a cup of truth
a cup of lies
a cup of silence
that might bring your demise

a cup of love
a cup of hate
a cup of determination
for that is your fate

a cup of chaos
a cup of control
a cup of emotions
and voila, the human soul

mmmm, haven't poemised for a while
enjoy!

there are reasons why stupid rhymes with cupid and why heart sounds like hurt

eyes @ Monday, May 14, 2007
Matthew 5:38-39
You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

have you ever read those police notices?
or had some policeman come down to your school to warn you about stuff?
Have you heard what they say to do if you're being mugged or attacked?
They tell you that if no helped can be reached, don't fight back, sometimes its smarter to give in.

what this verse tells us is not to spite the person, by being sarcastic. Its telling us that sometimes people do things in anger that you've got to let slide. Sometimes its the smart, the right thing to do to let them let out their anger. Because emotions cloud clear minds, making them do stupid things.

tolerance, patience, forgiveness. Virtues, not impossibilities.

Day four @ Saturday, May 12, 2007
yes yes, I know I was supposed to do this yesterday but sisters are an obstacle within themselves.

Math: hazzah, not as hard as I expected. Managed to finish, although my last few characters were really messy. Or at least, messier than usual.

then after that, badminton for 2 hours, spiderman 3 (again), then home.
which is funny, because if I was dismissed at 2.40 (normal timing) instead of 9 (special timing), I would have gotten home at 9. what was funnier was when we were on the bus, and there was this bunch of new town secondary students GOING to school while we were LEAVING ours. heh heh heh.

today, waking up early, realising the oh-so little people who were watching spiderman 3 (ab, you should have gone. you and your procrastination), but going anyway. Was good, scaring people at the scary parts (sorry michele, heh), and I finally collected my mocha frap (chocalate-y goodness)

gahhhhh, first I had the annoying animal planet song stuck in my head (*sacarsm* THANK YOU ERVIN), then I had the "come on, thumbs up" song which they played before the movie stuck in my head, now its the "and with the moon up above, its wonderful" which was what M.J. sang during spiderman 3. I need better songs stuck in my head.

(I feel bracket-happy today)
(heh heh heh)
(heh)
(heh)
(heh)

(I say "heh" too much)
(heh)

On a more serious note, I realise the useful-ness of the word "hosanna". As sister Lorraine mentioned during the service, the word hosanna has two meanings:
1) a cry meaning save, a "save us, save me" kinda save
2) a way of saying praise to, of thanking God
You see in any situation, you can use it. When you're happy, its used in the second meaning, thanking God for the blessings he has showered upon you. When you're down or angry or not happy in general, cry hosanna, for him to save you.
And when you're feeling just plain weird, use it for both meanings, just because you should.

im beginning to be multi-lingual. Yay!
Unfortunately, the multi-lingual part doesn't include chinese. heh.

yea, I say "heh" wayyyyyyyyy too often

Day three @ Thursday, May 10, 2007
History: messsssed up. Random writing.
Life Science: the questions were unspecific in what they wanted, so much so I wrote down the wrong answer even though I understood the concept -.-

I'm beginning to wonder why I type all this stuff out. Probably the closest thing I have to a record of my exams. Also, probably so I can look back later and see what I was back then. hm.

Scratch whatever I said earlier, michael buble's rendition of "Me and Mrs Jones" is waaaaaaay better than the version taufik did during his run on Singapore Idol.
6:18 PM

Day Two @ Wednesday, May 09, 2007
Lang Arts: heh, the usual large amounts of random crap that somehow form sentences.
500 word limit
... demolish the walls of discrimination. (498 words)
hm.....
demolish the walls of discrimination. Thank you. (500 words)

don't worry, if you don't get it, join the club.

Physical Science: managed to finish it in time, but noooooooooooooooooooo, I had to forget the chemical formula for sulphuric acid (which I now remember to be H2SO4) which costed me 4 marks. bah.

I'm not usually one to pick on my own mistakes, but somehow I feel in a self-degrading mood.

We Wear The Mask

We wear the mask that grins and lies,
It hides our cheeks and shades our eyes,--
This debt we pay to human guile;
With torn and bleeding hearts we smile,
And mouth with myriad subtleties.

Why should the world be overwise,
In counting all our tears and sighs?
Nay, let them only see us, while
We wear the mask.

Day one @ Tuesday, May 08, 2007
Chinese: will fail
Geog: won't die

keeping in line with my tradition, I use blogging to destress.

I'm lazy to type out stuff, but I did doodle some stuff during the paper.

Yea, not really feeling in much of a mood to talk.

BOOOOoooooo

am I the first to realise all of michael buble's songs are love songs?

notical nonsense @ Thursday, May 03, 2007
heh heh
warning beforehand
heh heh heh. I'm high! On raisin bread! HAIL!

Random notes!
1) I can get 2 kinds of high. The first is the random laughter kind, and the second is nonsensical kind. This is the latter. HEH HEH HEH. Or maybe the former. HEH HEH HEH. OW! My brain!

2) There are more people online on thursday nights then there are on friday nights. WHO KNOWS WHY?!?!? (twilight zone music...)

3) I really haven't heard twilight zone music before.

4) I should probably be studying. hm.

5) slapping yourself, though not being smart, is incredibly stupid.

6) I WANT THE MICHAEL BUBLE ALBUM (ah! stop staring at me like that)

7) I've already watched spiderman 3. It sucked. Okay, it was good, but it feels mean to say it to anyone who hasnt seen it

8) yes, I still do plan to watch it AGAIN on the 12th. HEh.

9) I have no idea what I'm doing. COULD YOU GUESS?!?!

10) random stupidity stops at note number 10

11) notes stop at 11

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."

intro
There's so much about life that I don't know about yet, and there's so much that God teaches me as I walk with Him everyday. This is where I record what I learn, my reflections on His revelations. My hope is that through the words you read, you hear His voice, not mine. And if it puts a smile on your face, that's an added bonus
