Matthew 5:38-39
You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth. But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.

have you ever read those police notices?
or had some policeman come down to your school to warn you about stuff?
Have you heard what they say to do if you're being mugged or attacked?
They tell you that if no helped can be reached, don't fight back, sometimes its smarter to give in.

what this verse tells us is not to spite the person, by being sarcastic. Its telling us that sometimes people do things in anger that you've got to let slide. Sometimes its the smart, the right thing to do to let them let out their anger. Because emotions cloud clear minds, making them do stupid things.

tolerance, patience, forgiveness. Virtues, not impossibilities.
