night falls

swerve
head straight into the lot
some guy beeps
two minutes

walk in quickly
boss should be in office
sneak by if I'm careful
last sip
coffee in bin

back to the wall
peer around the corner just barely
he's walking to the toilet
just a little more
run past

shove card into the reader
waiting for the beep
pull out
safe

smile
walking past boss
on time, you can't do anything about it

I'm checked in
walk back out
pass cupid on the way
hate those hearts around him
if I could, I'd rip out the furry wings
too annoying
just ignore

get to my designated house for today
almost midnight
transit is hell
even for cars

walk into the bedroom
guy's asleep
so much easier that way
put on the most ridiculous helmet
staff uniform
burn it if I could

put my hand over his eyes
enter his dream

always disorients me

guy's pretty twisted
human greed at its worse
I better be getting hazard pay
