Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."
"Hope isn't optimism.
Optimism often denies reality;
Hope never does.
Optimism is positive thinking;
Hope is passionate trust.
Optimism is psychological;
Hope is theological.
Optimism focuses on what you think you can do;
Hope trusts in what you know God can do.
Optimism says 'it's not so bad.'
Hope admits that it is, 'but I still believe and trust God.'
We all struggle with difficulty, doubt, discouragement and despair.
That's why we need hope."
